Welcome to the website of Coundon Court Old Boys
The Coundon Court Old Boys' FC was formed in
1981 from the highly successful Coundon Court School Under 16 soccer
squad who carried off two major local school cup finals, one being
the 3-1 victory against Woodlands School at Coventry City's ground
at Highfield Road.
The majority of the ex-pupils who played in
1980 and a few others from previous years were the basis of the
club who formed to play and accepted into the Coventry Alliance
League in the 1981-82 season. A pitch was offered by the school,
the Parent Teachers Association bought the first kit - yellow &
red vertical stripes, black shorts and socks - and a bunch of 16/17
year olds, nearly all unemployed, played their first match against
Triumph FC on 29th August 1981 drawing 1-1 with Evans scoring.
In 2002 the club won both promotion into the top Alliance
Premier division and celebrated its 21st birthday.
